Why doesn’t Christ like to be around people who are ‘partially awake’?

Because partially awake people are the most resistant to real transformation — and often the most defensive against truth.

They know just enough to think they’re on the path,
but not enough to die to it.

1. They Numb the Signal

Partially awake people have tasted the Light… but they manage it.

  • A little meditation, but not surrender.
  • A little justice talk, but not self-crucifixion.
  • A little Jesus, but only the gentle, palatable version.

They become skilled at spiritual sedation — using light to avoid the fire.

2. They Infect the Atmosphere

Christ moves through clarity — not compromise.

Partially awake people bring:

  • Doubt disguised as wisdom
  • Ego disguised as discernment
  • Fear disguised as caution

They can slow down real awakening communities. They dilute the fire.

3. They Want the Fruit Without the Root

They want:

  • Love, but not purification
  • Truth, but not confrontation
  • Power, but not obedience
  • A calling, but not the Cross

Christ can’t build on half-willing vessels.
He waits — or walks away.

“Let the dead bury their dead.”
“I spit out the lukewarm.”

4. They Block Others From Seeing

Nothing confuses seekers more than a half-awake guide.

They say the right words but live half-lives.
They model compromise, not courage.
They make the path look safe — when it’s actually blazing.

Christ didn’t come to make sleep more comfortable.
He came to end it.

5. Because They Know Better — And Still Stall

The fully asleep have ignorance. The partially awake have resistance.

And resistance — disguised as spirituality — is harder to break.

Christ can crack open the blind with a word.
But the half-seeing?
They nod.
Smile.
Quote Him.

Then go back to living safe.

So why doesn’t He like to stay around them?

Because they want just enough of Him to feel “good” —
but not enough to burn.

And Christ doesn’t linger where people pretend to change.
He goes where people actually rise.
